1. Acceptance

By creating an account, using, or accessing JOBayan (the "Service"), you agree to these Terms of Service ("Terms") and our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.

2. Who May Use the Service

The Service is intended for residents and businesses in Dumangas, Iloilo. Accounts represent one of three roles: Job Seeker, Employer, or Administrator. You must register with accurate information and keep credentials secure.

3. Account Registration and Verification

To access certain features (posting jobs, applying, messaging), you must register. Employers and job seekers may be required to submit identification or business permits for admin verification. Administrators may approve, suspend, or remove accounts that violate these Terms.

4. User Responsibilities

  • You are responsible for content you submit (profiles, job posts, messages, resumes).
  • Don't post illegal, fraudulent, or offensive content.
  • Respect other users — harassment, impersonation, or misuse is prohibited.
  • Maintain the confidentiality of your account credentials.
  • Report any security breaches or unauthorized account access immediately.

5. Job Postings, Applications, and Messaging

Employers are responsible for the accuracy of job listings. Job seekers who apply represent that the information they provide is true. The Service provides integrated messaging — all communication must comply with these Terms and maintain professional standards.

6. Content Moderation

Administrators may review and remove content that violates policies. We may suspend or terminate accounts for policy breaches. Appeals should be sent to our support team for review and consideration.

7. Intellectual Property

Users retain ownership of their uploaded materials, but by posting content you grant JOBayan a non-exclusive license to host and display it while the content is active on the Service. The JOBayan platform and its original content are protected by intellectual property rights.

8. Limitations of Liability

JOBayan strives to provide a safe platform but does not guarantee job offers or employer conduct. We are not responsible for agreements formed between users. To the maximum extent permitted by law, JOBayan is not liable for indirect or consequential damages arising from the use of our services.

9. Modifications

We may update these Terms to reflect changes in our services or legal requirements. If we make material changes, we'll provide notice through the platform or via email. Continued use after changes means you accept the updated Terms.

10. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the Republic of the Philippines. Any disputes shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Dumangas, Iloilo.
